Bladder Leakage Treatment in Albuquerque
Leaking when you laugh, sneeze or work out is common, but it isn't normal, and it isn't something you have to manage with pads forever. Pelvic floor physical therapy is one of the most effective first steps for bladder leakage, and you don't need a referral to start.

How physical therapy helps
Leaking usually happens when the pelvic floor isn't working well with your breathing, core and hips, whether it's too weak, too tight or not reacting quickly enough. Physical therapy finds which one is true for you and retrains those muscles with hands-on treatment, targeted exercise and simple bladder habits that make a real difference day to day.
What to expect
Your first visit is a one-on-one evaluation. We'll talk through your symptoms, habits and goals, then look at how your breathing, posture, core, hips and pelvic floor work together. With your consent, this may include an internal pelvic exam, which is always optional. You'll leave with a clear plan and a few exercises to start right away.

Common questions
Isn't leaking just part of having kids or getting older? It's common, but it isn't something you have to accept. Women of every age see improvement with pelvic floor therapy.
Do I just need to do more Kegels? Not always. Some women leak because their pelvic floor is too tight rather than too weak, and more Kegels can make that worse. An evaluation shows what your body actually needs.
How many visits will I need? It depends on your goals and symptoms. We'll talk through a plan at your first visit.
